Moshava Alevy (formerly known as Moshava California), founded in 2013 by Jonathan Gerber, is proud to be a member of the Moshava camp family. For over 75 years, Moshava summer camps, have offered exceptional and unique camping experiences and inspired lifelong affiliation among North American Jewish youth and young adults. For decades, alumni of Moshava camps have taken on leadership positions across the spectrum of Jewish organizations and communities in North America and Israel.

 

Moshava camps operate under the umbrella of Bnei Akiva, the religious Zionist youth movement. Our mission at Bnei Akiva is to inspire and empower the Jewish youth of North America with a deep commitment to our people, Am Yisrael, to our land, Eretz Yisrael, and to our Torah, Torat Yisrael through summer camps and a variety of year-round informal educational programs. Bnei Akiva members strive to live lives of Torah v’Avodah, combining Torah learning and observance with active contribution to the Jewish people and society. Bnei Akiva creates leaders who assume responsibility for their community, who take initiative and who actualize the ideals of Torah V’Avodah by making aliyah.
